John was born in Bridgeport, CT on November 18, 1942. He was the son of the late John and Stella (Wozniak) Raytar. John served in the US Navy on the U.S.S. Thor. After an honorable discharge grom the US Navy, John began his career in the trucking industry. John retired from ABF Trucking in Waterbury, CT in 1992.
