That morning, Luigi woke to a kick to his back. He moved to sit up before realizing just what he was stuck in. A Koopa pile. f*cking literally, as pile. He was laying on bowsers chest halfway, Chai in one arm, Jr on his other. Morton on top of bowsers leg, Lemmy on top of bowser chest with him, halfway on Luigi himself- Iggy using Bowsers tail as a blanket and Wendy laying on top of both the tail and her sibling sideways. Roy and Ludwig piled on top of eachother on bowsers leg with Larry upside down against the other. Kammy and Kamek on oposite sides of the pile leaning againt it.
[This sounds like the most uncomfortable but comfortable thing at the same time EVERRRR-]
Luigi chuckled softly, deciding to gently stroke the mess of hair on Chai's head seeing as he wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon. He wondered of this was a regular thing for the family. He'd assume every koopaling got their own room (obviously or all hell would walk in fear of their sibling fights-) but the way they connected and felt so protective over eachother was intriguing. So much so, Luigi wondered what it would be like to be apart of the family. Missing his own rather large family back home in Brooklyn might have played a part in this curiosity, bit in all reality, it felt normal. This scene was so domestic and peaceful.
....Till it wasn't-
Not even fifteen f*ckin minutes later, Chai was crying for 'Mama' as Luigi desperately tried to take a shower. Kamek had them in a little bubble as the human scrambled to quickly throw himself into a shower. He settled for sinning and using a shampoo conditioner combo, and a quick wash of his body. As soon and he finished he threw on whatever Wendy made Kammy conjure up for him. It was a pair of sandal brown waisted shorts with a white tee he tucked in. A greed knitted jacket and white socks before he ran out of the room, Bowser running into the bathroom as to bathe as well. When Luigi had got Chai, he took the bottle from a struggling kammy and she immediately quieted down, taking it happily, earning a collection of relieved groans and sighs. "It'll be a pain in the arse and a half to get rid of you if this is how the kid acts when you're not around." Kamek said with a huff, drinking coffee from a mug that said 'best grump-a ever.'
"U-uhm... about that.." Luigi cleared his throat. "Awe mannn!! Don't tell me you plan on staying! Did dad talk you into it?" Ludwig frowned, tapping a foot irritatedly. "Actually it was a mutual decision... an agreement of sorts actually." He adjusted Chai in his arms slightly to get comfy in one of the pillow piles. "Your father stops the useless fighting and kidnapping of the principessa, and I try to figure out what happened to your lands star. We return it to normal, and stop the fighting. I'll be back and forth between kingdoms a lot, but I won't abandon Chai. Especially if they're somehow so attached already.." when he finished he looked up see a skeptical Ludwig, and a throughful group of others. "Fine, whatever. But don't mess with us, got it? Just be all carefree and smitten with our dad and we'll be fine."
[Yeah- because there's not like- four parts to "Luigi has a panic" or anything like that- nOooOo- hes as carefree as a fat housecat in the windowsill sunlight.]
Luigi gulped and chuckled embarrassed. "W-well I'm not certain that im.. I wouldn't say smitten? It's just uh-" Chai burped Slighy, a small spark forming in their throat as she did. "Well crap. That's not supposed to happen for another year or so..." Bowser stepped out of the bathroom, hair still a little wet and Luigi would be a big-fat-ass liar if he said he didn't blush a bit. "W-what do you mean? Don't all Drakoopa breath fire ? Or... Wait I didn't see the age.." the human hummed, setting the empty bottle on a nearby tray and letting Bowser hold the hatchling for a moment, giving them a rattle stopped like fire with sparkles inside which they clearly enjoyed from the giggle fit and happy chirps.
"Oh, and, Luigi?" Bowser said with a smirk, making the human pause for a moment when he looked up. "You are. Smitten, that is." Luigi let out an indignant squeal. "Wh-! Nuh uh! I'm just a little-" "anamoured? - Infatuated? - obsessed? - head over heels?" Wendy and Kammy said back and forth, snickering at how embarassed the human was getting. "No! I just- I enjoy Bowser's company. ..a lot." He crossed his arms, muttering itallian curses under his breath.
